Report: XM Canada Settles Royalty Lawsuit

It is reported that XM Canada has settled a lawsuit (previously reported here) brought by groups representing Canadian songwriters and publishers over allegedly delinquent royalty fees dating back to 2005. The settlement includes SOCAN (the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada), the Neighbouring Rights Collective of Canada and CSI, a joint venture of the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency Ltd. and the Montreal-based Society for Reproduction Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers in Canada.
